The curious case of technology.

Curiosity killed the cat, everyone knows. I don’t know how relevant this phrase is today because curiosity is NASA’s land rover loitering on our sister planet Mars without a cat on board.wow! Superseding arithmetic and geometric progression ,technological progression has become omnipresent. How cool!  From satellites to outer space missions, PSLV to GSLV,  GSLV I to GSLV III, cloning to stem cell technology, SMS to whatsapp so on and on and on. I can cite so many examples that I’d start doubting my own existence.

Technology to me is killing the cat before it gets curious therefore I’d get down to my business.

Post box is now extinct. Sky blue or yellow coloured postcards are kept with kempt to be auctioned 30 years later. Public call operator lost his job he might be driving a JCB in Oman who knows. The vegetable vendor is busy playing angry birds on his 5.5 inch smart phone selling onions at a fixed price. Buying lingerie is no more a taboo because they assure they would wrap it up in black. We meet people everyday but we talk only on whatsapp. Saying I love you is no big deal and those who are still stuck on 143 please check new emoticons especially the one with the pout!

Technology is a profound experience, we stay in touch using a touch, life slows but never halts. Technologically we are advance. What about the emotional quotient? God forbid if the government chooses to restrict its services none of us would talk. We text and continue to text till falling in love is the only option. We get bored after three months of continuous regressive conversation, we stop liking the pictures and abstain from commenting on any post, and we finally end up citing some scientific reason! Social science is also a science okay! I might be wrong but it happens. To stay in touch we need to talk not frequently but regularly. Technology doesn’t have a brain but, sometimes the call is never received but the online status keeps blinking on whatsapp...true phones are smart people are still humble! So what do we do? We stop calling. THE END!

Technology is simply the commercialisation of science which means Science innovates and technology is its application . Technology helps mankind because anything that reduces human effort is machine. However appreciating any effort by anyone to help you, to care for you is humane. Newton explained gravity may be to help ISRO develop Mangalyaan( our sasta evam tikau mars mission). So, while Sir Newton is dead on arrival we are comfortably alive bringing back the dead. Thus, technology killed the romance doomed the love and jinxed the fate.

P.S: You may not comply with me since perception is another form of individualism but smart phones only help you grow smarter they don’t outlive your smartness. Infuse in yourselves the ability to keep those who are trying to keep you, because technology is constantly progressing. The software changes every fortnight, understand the concept before kitkat becomes obsolete!
